 Andre Chernay established The Chernay Law Firm in 2006 to provide cutting edge legal representation to individual plaintiff clients in matters ranging from warranty issues to personal injury and construction defects, as well as, clients in business.  The Chernay Law Firm combines 11 years of trial and litigation experience with the energy and drive  of new ambition.

The firm, with its office centrally located in Amador City, allows for coordinating litigation matters from Bakersfield to the Oregon border.  This location allows us to provide legal representation throughout Northern and Central California with the ability to offer the personal attention you deserve.

Origins

Andre Chernay founded the firm in September of 2006 after leaving the second largest litigation defense firm in Sacramento.  His past representation of various corporations in the manufactured housing, motor home industries, as well as insurance carriers and their insureds throughout California has provided Chernay with considerable experience in a wide range of practice areas including Magnuson-Moss and Song Beverly warranty law, automotive, product liability, construction defect and asbestos, as well as personal injury.  As for his representation of the manufactured housing and recreational vehicle industry, his clients have included Clayton Homes, Fleetwood Homes, Champion Homes, Fuqua; Fleetwood Motor Homes, Eclipse RV, Keystone, Winnebago, Thor, Dutchman, Four Winds, Airstream and CT Coachworks and their respective subsidiaries. 

It is this vast experience in having represented many manufacturers in various industry that has provided Chernay with a unique insight which he now utilizes in his representation of plaintiff clients.

Raised in Sacramento, California, Chernay received his undergraduate degree from California State University, Sacramento   and law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.  He is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to all state and federal courts in California.  He was admitted to the Hoopa Valley Tribal Court in 2008 and the Chemehuevi Tribal Court in 2010.

With Sutter Creek being in the center of the historic California Gold Rush of the 1850′s, it is only fitting that Chernay is actively representing the Sutter Gold Mining Company which is on pace to commence active underground gold mining activities in the summer of 2012.
